MSRP GBP £45,000 - £49,000 First Impressions and Design The BYD Seal immediately looks stunning. Its sleek, aerodynamic profile, with a low hood and flowing lines, really stands out among mid-size EV sedans. The four-door fastback shape gives it a sporty yet refined presence that feels premium without being flashy. Driving Feel and Performance Behind the wheel, the Seal feels composed and balanced. Thanks to the battery's placement, the car has a low center of gravity, which helps it feel stable and confident through corners. The rear-wheel drive model delivers smooth, consistent acceleration, which is more than enough for daily use. If you choose the dual-motor all-wheel drive version, it really moves. Acceleration is strong and immediate, and the car remains in control even when pushed hard. It’s fast, but not harsh, and it never feels like it's struggling to manage the power. Range and Charging The range is genuinely impressive. I managed over 300 miles of real-world driving on a single charge without trying too hard. Charging is quick enough to be practical, though there are faster options on the market. Still, it easily covers long daily commutes and weekend drives. Interior and Features The cabin is smartly designed. Materials feel high quality, with soft-touch surfaces, comfortable seats, and nice design details. The large rotating infotainment screen is fun and modern, and the overall layout is intuitive. Space up front is generous, and there’s decent room in the back for passengers as well. Storage is also thoughtful, including a small front trunk for extra practicality. What I Liked Beautiful and aerodynamic exterior design Confident handling and composed ride, especially around corners Long real-world range, making it suitable for long drives Comfortable and modern interior with clean styling Strong performance in the all-wheel drive version without sacrificing comfort Small Drawbacks The infotainment screen is stylish but can be a bit laggy when navigating menus Charging speeds are good, but some competitors are quicker Cabin is refined, but might feel a little minimalist to those used to flashier premium interiors Final Thoughts The BYD Seal is a serious contender in the EV market. It looks great, drives well, offers strong range, and feels like a complete, well-thought-out package. It doesn’t try too hard to be something it’s not, and that’s part of its charm. If you're after a sleek, efficient, and comfortable electric sedan that delivers excellent value, the Seal is a car I would absolutely recommend
